Moredecai is honored...Gleanings from Esther 10:1-3

The Book of Esther suddenly comes to a close, and no where else in the Bible is this book ever mentioned, nor is Mordecai or Queen Esther...yet in my own heart I believe there was a time...when a young maiden was given the title of...Queen...and she was able to save her people...

                                     Gleanings of Esther 10:1-3

"After all this had happened, and the days of the empire had peace throughout, king Xerxes taxed every province in the land, to sustain his kingdom and the government that ruled the empire.
The records of king Xerxes are in the Book of History of the kings of Persia and Media.
As for Mordecai, he became prime minister of the empire, and was 2nd  only to king Xerxes in command.
Mordecai became very great among all his fellow Jews, and was held in the most high esteem, mainly because of continued commitment to looking out for the welfare of others...."

                                              The Feast of Purim

" This happens to be the only festival not established by Moses. A Purim was much like "rolling the dice", and was often times used in ancient times to receive guidance from God or to seek a particular direction.
Today, Jewish people fast and pray to commemorate the fast first announced by Queen Esther. Then, the fast is followed by the "Feast of Purim." There is gift giving for friends and for the poor; along with drinking of wine and the remembrance of how once again God spared the life of His people...Israel.
The book of Esther is read aloud, and there is loud "boos" when Haman is mentioned, and great "hoo-rahs" when Mordecai is spoken.
There is no doubt a love affair began...the beautiful Queen Esther and her people...Israel!
