The Golden Age...Gleanings from Isaiah 11

Isaiah challenges the people of Israel...trust in the Lord! He speaks in positive ways of our Messiah coming and setting up His Kingdom.
History has referred to a futuristic kingdom as "The Golden Age". The Greeks, the Egyptians, and numerous other cultures that worshipped other gods, spoke of a future kingdom where "peace" reigns...among animals as well as humans.
Here, Isaiah identifies not just some "futuristic peaceful kingdom", rather, the One who would cause and create a kingdom where everything and everyone lives in...His peace.
According to the belief I adhere to, where Jesus Christ is the author and personal Savior of my life, with the promise of eternal life; I have discovered His peace is for real, and as for me....the "Golden Age" has just begun. No, lions and lambs are not getting along yet, but I have found peace within when I gave my heart to "The Lion of Judah".

"From David's family will sprout a new shoot... from the stump of a nation that has been cut deep. It will be a new Branch...bearing fruit from the age old stump, and the Spirit of the Lord will rest upon Him...for He is the Anointed One...with all Wisdom, all Understanding, the Giver of Direction and the One who gives True Counsel. The Spirit of the Lord that is upon the Holy One carries Strength, and gives Instruction on how to reverently fear and obey the Lord.
This "Branch" will demonstrate the joy of obeying the Lord...for He has total joy in the Father of Israel. This "Branch" will be full of Justice...to help the poor and tear down the exploitations that have come against the poor.
From His own lips, the "Branch" will speak Truth...that will command everyone's attention. In fact, His breath alone will bring down the wicked.

Look! See the clothes He wears! He has come to us...to work with us! His leather belt declares His Righteousness, His whole undergarment is made of Truth! His work jeans are made of Fairness, while His workshirt is adorned with Honesty.
When His work is done, all matters will be settled. Wolves and lambs will graze together, leopards will find rest...with a baby goat! The yearling calf and the adult lion...eating together...and a young child comes to feed them.
In that day, you will look out in the pasture and see the bear and the cow...grazing side by side...and the king of the beast...the adult lion...will be eating hay.
A little child, an infant, will be playing and put its hand in a hole...of a nest of Cobras...and will pull their arm from the hole...receiving no harm.
Neither animal or human will hurt or kill...not on My Holy Mountain, for just as waters fill the seas, so shall the land be filled with people who know and honor the Lord!

In that day, David's anointed heir...will be the Light of Salvation...to the entire world. They will listen and follow after His advice, and those that invite Him...shall have True Peace in their hearts and lives.
In that day the Lord will lift up His "Rally Banner"...for He is that Banner...and will annouce salvation to everyone! He shall bring His people who have survived...the Assyrian assault, the Egyptian control, and what Ethiopa, Hamath, and Pathros and all the aggressions of the coastal lands...to thier "Homeland"!
He will give a clear signal, and bring together the refugees of both Israel and Judah...and Israel and Judah will have peace with one another...for they will walk in His peace.
In fact, Israel and Judah will be as one, and will attack the coastlands. They will start with the Philistines, in the west, and then take out the Edomites, the Moabites, and the Ammonites in the eastern coastlands. Israel and Judah will plunder these nations, occupying the land of Edom and Moab, while Ammon will obey every command.

And the Lord will utterly destroy and dry up the west fork of the Red Sea, and He will send a scorching wind and wave it over the Nile River, causing it to be 7 streams that can be easily crossed.
And for God's own people still exiled in Assyria, He will make a good and wide road...to the Homeland...just like in the days of Egypt...generations ago!"
