These last few days have been busy, and yet all around me I see, I feel, and I experience with others that depth...to want to know Him! Sometimes people speak through bitterness and resentment, others speak through confusion and emptiness. The worst of it seems to be those who are speaking through tragedy, sorrow, and loss.
It is strange how we are, right when we really need Him the most, we give up. We allow the hurts and bitterness, the pain of life, or the feeling of being left out to take control.
It is in these times...we must learn to trust Him at His very Word...
Gleanings from Matthew 5:14-16
" Here is another way to look at Him. We are His Light, and we are here to bring God's true colors to a dark and dreary world...even our own at times.
God does not nor ever wanted this to be a secret, something to be hidden away under lock and key.
This Light is meant for us, and the Light we have is to help others find their way to Him...like turning on a bright light in a dark home.
We are that Light, even today, and when we are bright and able to shine before all men, especially when our own circumstances are against us, others will see Him...in you. They will can't help but see the excellence in knowing Him, and see as well the noble and good deeds that work through each one of us that call upon His Aid.
In fact, it will go one step further, others who get a glimpse of God's Light will begin to recognize, and give praise, and begin to glorify the Father, who in their own hearts hope He truly is the Generous God of Heaven that we speak of!"
