Hebrews 11:6 is one of our foundational verses for those of us who have given allegiance to the "Risen One", to the "Coming One".
Often when I have read this verse of the Sacred Scripture, it seems so "black and white" to me...missing a passion within the context itself.
I know Martin Luther was (and I am sure still is) drawn to this wonderful verse of the Scripture, and I offer my humble Gleaning of Hebrews 11:6....
" If we do not have a heart that accepts Him for who He truly is, and for the Work He has already done for us...it is impossible to please Our Heavenly Father.
Don't you see, Christ Jesus is the "Pride and Joy" of Our Heavenly Father! Christ Jesus is...the very "Heart of the Father"!
So first, you must believe in His Beloved Son, our Lord Jesus...and simply accept what He has already done for each one of us...and know that the One who completed this work...for us...is alive today!
From this decision within your own heart will come an adventure that leads you...right into the "Presence of God Himself"...right into the very "Heart of the Father"...where Jesus dwells!
Once you arrive there, all blessings, all rewards, and all you need will be abundantly given to you, for now you have discovered the meaning of what Christ said while here among us: "Follow Me!"
