Jack the Ripper...finale

In 2006, Jack the Ripper was made known to all of England as the worst Briton of all time. There has been so much speculation given to the murders attributed to Jack the Ripper. Actually, the files on Jack the Ripper were officially closed in 1892...with no apparent leads to who was responsible for the ghastly murders.
Although there were 11 total murders during the time of 1888 to 1891, the "Canonical 5" have been the ones that seem to identify the same killer....that being "Jack the Ripper".

1. Mary Ann Nichols...known as "Polly", was 42 years old when she was brutally murdered. She had a troubled marriage, had become an alcoholic, spent the last years of her life in and out of "workhouses", and had given herself to a life of prostitution. Born in April of 1845, she met her death by "The Ripper" on August 31st, 1888.

2. Annie Chapman...47 years old. She had similar problems in life as Nichols, a troubled marriage, alcoholism, and in her final years she had become a prostitute as well. She was murdered on September 8th, 1888.

3. Elizabeth Stride...known as "Long Liz"...was born in Sweden, battled alcoholism even from her early years, and had been prostitute for some time. She was born in November of 1843 and was murdered in September of 1888.

4. Catherine Eddowes...another woman with a troubled past, having a trouble marriage, battling alcoholism, and giving her life to prostitution. Born in April of 1842, she was 46 years of age when she was murdered on September 30th, 1888.

5. Mary Jane Kelley...the youngest of the "Canonical 5", being born in 1863 and murdered on November 9th, 1888. She was 26 years old. Of all the murders, hers was the most gruesome. Mary Jane Kelly was 3 months pregnant at the time...and evidence indicated she was killed...by someone she knew. Miss Kelly also had a series of troubled relationships, given to alcoholism, and was forced (at least in her mind), to a life of prostitution.

All 5 of these women suffered a horrible and gruesome deaths, from having their throats cut and some...their organs removed. Much detail can be given in numerous books and websites as to the medical findings of these evil murders.
Although there were 6 other deaths that have been linked to "Jack the Ripper", these 5 were the ones that seem to identify the same killer. All the others are alleged, and could have been copycat killings or just murders that would be mistakenly attributed to "Jack the Ripper".
At any rate, these type of murders seem to all have come to an end by 1891.

My final thoughts....I don't think it was "Jack the Ripper", but rather "Jill the Ripper". I think the evidence that has been found points directly to a woman rather than a man.
In 1939, William Stewart wrote a book entitled: "Jack the Ripper...a New Theory", and was able to pinpoint some evidence in all 5 canonical murders to a woman named Mrs. Mary Pearcey.

Mrs. Mary Pearcey was found guilty of the brutal murder of both a mother and child, a Phoebe Hogg and her 18 month old child. Pearcey was the lover of Phoebe's husband. What made the whole thing strange is Pearcey had encouraged her lover, a Frank Hogg, to marry Phoebe in the first place.
Phoebe Hogg was 3 months pregnant when she asked Mary Pearcey to aid her in a routine abortion. Pearcey had the experience of being a midwife during pregnancies etc.
With her clothes gently laid on a chair, she was savagely murdered in the early morning hours on October 24th, 1890, along with her child being smothered. Pearcey was found later that day with the baby carriage that belonged to Phoebe Hogg.
When arrested, Pearcey's home was found with blood on knives and on her clothes (normal for a mid-wife), she told the local authorities she had been killing mice. Later she was heard chanting: "Killing mice....Killing mice".
Pearcey was convicted of the murders on October 24th, 1890 and executed by hanging on December 23rd, 1890, only 2 months after the murders had taken place.
At the same time...the Whitechapel murders seemed to conclude as well......

In some DNA testing in 2006, the saliva used to wet the stamps from the "Jack the Ripper" letters that had been sent to different people and to local police authorities claiming to be "Jack the Ripper" and to the murderous crimes....DNA findings seem to indicate...the saliva was quite possibly...that of a woman.

Of course...there is another theory...that "Jack the Ripper" dressed like a woman...but was really a man.......

"Even hell holds no secrets from God...Do you really think He cannot read a human heart?"
